Is Valentine's Day a punishment for men?

Most women with boyfriends all over Mzantsi celebrate Valentine's Day with their partners. It seems though the financial implications of Valentine's Day tend to affect the men's wallet. Men are expected to provide extra special entertainment for this day, go an extra mile, spend more than they usually spend. The women-only pitch up looking beautiful, as if we are not handsome.  Before this day, men have to run around like headless chickens trying to get clues on what the better half wants.  If you do not do as expected you will suffer one way or another. This day is a plot by women to punish men. By the way, has any man ever seen this St Valentine?
